Getups Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Boutanna Apps ("Boutanna Apps", "we", "us"), a company registered in the Republic of Türkiye, handles information when you use Getups, our outfit planner for iPhone. For the purposes of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), Boutanna Apps is the data controller. Our general Privacy Policy covers our website and our other apps.

1. Information Getups collects

Your account

When you first open Getups, we create an account for you with a random identifier, so your closet can be saved without asking for any details. If you later sign in with Apple or with Google, we receive the account identifier from that service and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email address.

Your closet

We store the photos you add (a single piece, or a mirror photo that Getups splits into pieces), the clean product style images made from them and the details of each piece, such as its type, colors, pattern, warmth and how often you wore it.

Outfits and feedback

We store the outfits Getups suggests, the ones you save or mark as worn, and the feedback you give, for example that the colors did not match, so future outfits suit you better.

Your style profile

We store your answers to the style questions (styles, fits and colors you like, what your week looks like, how you dress for work, anything you never wear and whether you run cold or warm) and, if you enter one, the name you would like us to use.

Your city

Getups needs a city to check the weather. The city you choose is stored with your account. If you choose to use your current location, your device location is used to find your city and we keep the city with its approximate position, not your exact location. Forecasts come from Apple Weather.

Purchases

Getups Pro is an auto renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Apple processes all payments, and we never receive your payment card or billing address. To know whether you have Pro and to show the right plans, Getups uses Adapty, which processes purchase and transaction information received from Apple, a random app user identifier and basic device and app information.

Technical information

To protect our server from abuse, Getups uses Apple App Attest through Firebase App Check, and we keep a short technical log of each photo request (time, result and duration) and a count of how many pieces you added this month. Getups does not include advertising, analytics or crash reporting tools, and it does not collect your Apple advertising identifier (IDFA).

2. How your photos are processed

When you add a photo, Getups first finds each piece on your iPhone using Apple's on device Vision technology. A crop of the photo around each piece (which may include part of you or your background) is then sent through our server, which runs on Google Cloud in the European Union, to Cloudflare Workers AI. The AI service reads the piece's type and colors and draws a clean product style image of it, and the result is saved in your closet. We send photos to the AI service only to provide this feature, and we do not use your photos or your closet to train AI models.

3. How we use information

We use the information above only to provide Getups to you: to build and show your closet, to suggest outfits for your weather and style, to keep your closet with your account across devices, to provide Pro, to protect the service from abuse and to answer you when you contact us. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not share it except as described below.

4. Service providers and international transfers

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and App Check): stores your account and closet and runs our server.
• Cloudflare (Workers AI): reads your pieces and draws their product images.
• Apple: App Store distribution and payments, Sign in with Apple and Apple Weather forecasts.
• Google: Sign in with Google, if you use it.
• Adapty: subscription and purchase management.

These providers may process data on servers outside Türkiye, including in the European Union and the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under KVKK and GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses, and on your explicit consent where KVKK requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your closet, outfits and profile while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Getups, under Settings, Delete account. This immediately erases your photos, product images, closet, outfits, style profile, photo request log and the account itself from our servers. If you do not open Getups for 12 months and do not have an active Pro subscription, we delete your account and its data automatically. Subscription records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

6. Your rights

Under KVKK (Article 11) and, where applicable, GDPR, you have the right to learn whether we process your personal data, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties it is transferred to in Türkiye or abroad, to request correction or deletion, to object to results that arise from automated analysis, and to request compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. EU residents may also request data portability and complain to their local supervisory authority.

The quickest way to delete everything is Delete account in the app. For any other request, email hello@boutannapps.com with the subject "Getups data request". We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Getups is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Our database rules let only your own account read and change your closet, and our server accepts photo requests only from your signed in account and uses Firebase App Check to verify that they come from the genuine Getups app.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when Getups or our practices change. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
